News and Events: Durbanville Hills Restaurant welcomes patrons back!

We are thrilled to welcome all our loyal patrons back to our internationally award-winning The Tangram Restaurant. As a special thank you for your continued support we have daily special offerings along with all your favourites prepared by Head Chef Tamzyn Ehlers.

All staff members have received training and are committed to upholding the protocols around COVID-19 related safety which include social distancing, mask use, and tableware and seating restrictions.

Although alcohol sales in the restaurant and at the tasting room are closed until further notice, non-alcoholic sparkling wine and ciders are available along with soft drinks and warm beverages.

Our restaurant General Manager Dirk Steyn says it feels good to be back in business.

“I can’t tell you how happy I am to see our customers and families back at our restaurant. It is incredibly liberating to be doing what we enjoy most – sharing globally acclaimed cuisine amidst the breath-taking views of Table Mountain and enchanting scenery of vineyards.”

In addition to a more extensive menu, the daily special for breakfast offers two eggs, truffle mushrooms, bacon and farm bread for R49. Lunch includes a complimentary non-alcoholic Savanna and a choice of Cape Coast fish of the day, organic pork belly or gourmet burger for R79.

From the main menu guests can look forward to, amongst other, the eggs benedict with a choice of salmon, bacon or truffle mushrooms for breakfast or a hearty breakfast burger. For lunch Cajun grilled tofu, springbok roses, or Mozambican prawns and calamari for starters, and Chalmar beef fillet, or lentil meatballs. Dessert is a treat with the heavenly salted caramel pudding, caramelized apple cheesecake, or dark chocolate mousse.

The Tangram Restaurant Opening Times

The restaurant is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast, 8.30am and 11am, and lunch, between 12pm and 3pm.

Dinner is served Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm until 8pm. Due to limited seating, advance reservations are highly recommended. For bookings send an email to or call 021-5581300.
